Whole Foods Market in Walnut Creek, CA is seeking an In-Store Shopper to prepare orders for delivery or pickup, fulfilling customer needs with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll shop the store’s everyday items—produce, meats, dairy, prepared foods, cheeses, wine, beer—and support busy peak hours including weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidates are reliable, customer-focused, and able to work nights and weekends. No prior retail experience is required, though a high school diploma is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills online orders efficiently, accurately and with a sense of urgency using handheld technology and/or fixed devices.
• Ensure product and order accuracy through meticulous verification and quality control processes.
• Learn and apply product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Keep staging area organized and free of clutter.
• Handle in-store and online order returns and pickups.
• Comply with government regulations such as age verification requirements for restricted items.
• Assist with customer inquiries and provide store information.
• Maintain knowledge of product and promotional events.
• Maintain a positive work environment.
• Communicate clearly, collaboratively and courteously.
• Attend all meetings assigned by Leadership, including daily huddles.
• Support company program and initiatives, inclusive of varied checkout options, store formats and all product assortment, tools, and technology.
• Maintains operational standards including but not limited to safety and store security protocols.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store or company leadership.
