Job summary

Bright Horizons in Norwalk, CT is seeking a Substitute Teacher to join our early education team. You’ll support teachers with hands-on activities, communicate with families, and help maintain a safe, engaging classroom for preschoolers.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 with a HS diploma or GED; 1 year of child care experience is preferred, and CDA or higher education in early education is a plus. This role is in-person at The Marvin Children's Center.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
