Job summary

Village Caregiving in Metropolis, IL is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver/CNA to support clients with daily activities in their own homes. The role offers flexible part-time hours to fit busy schedules, with potential for full-time shifts as needed.

You will provide personal hygiene assistance, meal planning, mobility support, companionship, light housekeeping, and report incidents promptly, while traveling to client homes.

Qualifications

• Caregiver with ability to work in a one-on-one setting and continuously learn new skills.
• Dependable, timely, and able to meet client needs as requested.
• Experience in healthcare or in-home care preferred; willing to enforce health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene for elderly or recovering clients.
• Provide companionship and assist with medication reminders.
• Assist with mobility, transportation to appointments, errands.
• Plan and prepare meals; help with stretching or physical therapy exercises.
• Perform light housekeeping and report incidents promptly.
• Offer activities for daily living and ensure safety.
• Utilize common sense and compassionate care.
