Job summary

Village Caregiving is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver/CNA to assist clients in Metropolis, IL and surrounding areas. You will travel to clients' homes to provide one-on-one care, including personal hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship.

The role emphasizes reliability, empathy, and the ability to adapt to varied shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Personal care and hygiene assistance for elderly or post-surgery clients.
• Companionship and social engagement with clients.
• Assist with medication reminders and mobility.
• Plan and prepare meals and assist with activities of daily living.
• Use safe lifting and transfer techniques (Hoyer lift exposure preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Offer companionship and social interaction.
• Remind and assist with prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to doctor appointments.
• Plan and prepare meals for clients.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily living activities.
• Report incidents and respond to emergencies.
• Support with daily living tasks and essential activities.
• Practice safe health and safety standards.
