Kensington Senior Living is seeking a Laundry Attendant for our Bethesda, MD community. The role handles washing, drying, and finishing resident linens, personal garments, and dining textiles while ensuring items are processed the same day they are received.

Requires attention to care instructions, safety, and teamwork. Applicants should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and work flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent verbal skills and communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively within a team based environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of basic operations of laundry equipment and chemical use.

Responsabilités

• Launders resident personal linens and garments in accordance with care instructions.
• Processes dining services tablecloths, napkins, and rags daily.
• Operates electric hand iron for dining room linens and resident laundry.
• Sorts garments and contaminated linens, pre-rinses, treats and bleaches as necessary.
• Operates and maintains laundry equipment and reports malfunctions to the Director of Environmental Services.
• Coordinates transportation and recovery of garments and linens with outside laundries or dry cleaners.
• Maintains inventory of community linens and related supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required for emergencies or unusual situations.
• Participates in training and professional development activities.
