Chartwells School Dining Services K12 in Edina, MN is hiring for full-time and part-time Food Service Worker positions. The role involves meal prep, serving, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in Edina Public Schools; compensation ranges from $18.00 to $19.25 per hour with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Prior food service experience is preferred, with flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, and early evenings; training provided.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and early evenings.
• Physical ability to lift and move food, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Willingness to be trained is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
