Job summary

Young World Physical Education is seeking a Head Start HIPPY Home Visitor in Huntingtown, Maryland. This role involves conducting weekly home visits with families, case management, and providing parent–child activities to support child development.

Qualifications

• Two years of college credit, with preference for a Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience working with children ages 3–5 and their families.
• Knowledge of normal child growth and development and of parent–child interaction strategies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular family contact as assigned by the Program Coordinator.
• Administer the ASQ and Brigance screenings for each child.
• Initiate referrals to the Infant Toddler Program when developmental delays are observed.

Skills

Experience working with children ages 3-5

Knowledge of child growth and development

Strong interpersonal skills

Proficiency in verbal and written communication

Good organizational skills

Education
