Job summary

Yeshiva University is seeking a part-time food service assistant at the Wilf Campus. This casual role offers flexible hours, with no more than 19 hours per week.

The position covers all areas of food service, including price identification, cash handling, counter setup and breakdown, display maintenance, refrigeration stock, and related duties as assigned. A High School Diploma and 6 months to 1 year of related experience are required, with strong organizational and respectful communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and 6 months to 1 year of related experience.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle food according to sanitary guidelines.
• Respectful and thoughtful communication with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Identify prices of goods and tabulate prices using a cash register or calculator.
• Issue receipts and/or make change to customers.
• Set up and break down counter area.
• Maintain coffee and display baked goods.
• Keep refrigerators and shelves stocked.
• Refill and clean counter as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
