Placements24 is seeking a friendly catering assistant to support event service in East London. You will help with setup, food and beverage service, and post-event cleanup, maintaining high guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer service is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and possesses a strong work ethic.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and carrying food/beverage trays.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on event schedules in East London.
• Must be able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a catering team.
• A genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup of event spaces, including table settings, buffet arrangements, and decor.
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
• Replenish food and beverage stations during events to ensure continuous availability.
• Clear tables and manage general cleanliness of the event area during service.
• Assist with the breakdown and cleanup of event venues post-function.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and inquiries.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and chefs regarding food handling and service procedures.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout the event.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of catering services.
