Job summary

Qualifications

• Certified Peer Support Specialist required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Two years of work experience in the mental health field preferred.
• Willingness to continue education to enhance skills.
• Ability to pass required background clearances and screenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist peers in identifying and prioritizing needs and setting recovery goals as part of individual service plans.
• Assist peers in accessing needed services and informing them about community supports.
• Assist peers in securing employment and housing and understanding benefits with a new job.
• Help peers build social skills.
• Support peers in overcoming job-related anxiety.
• Maintain a professional attitude and collaborate with peers, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
