Job summary

Klauer Manufacturing in Dubuque, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations, enforce safety rules, and drive continuous improvement. You will monitor production schedules, coach team members, and apply lean tools to reduce waste while maintaining quality.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or with a team, with 1–2 years of supervisory experience and an associates degree or leadership certification.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interact with team members and department heads with candor, tact, patience and diplomacy.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience of prioritization and time management techniques.

• Knowledge and demonstrated experience of good leadership practices.
• Associates degree or accredited leadership certification(s) preferred.
• 1-2 years of supervisor or leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all company factory rules, policies and safety requirements.
• Address team performance issues and apply progressive discipline with HR support.
• Use metrics and root cause analysis to identify improvement initiatives.
• Monitor production and shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
• Use lean manufacturing tools to reduce setups, cycle times, scrap and WIP.
• Review schedules and processes to overcome obstacles to delivery.
• Other related duties as assigned.
