Job summary

MDC Healthcare is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team as Independent Contractors (1099). Provide skilled nursing services to members in their homes on an as-needed basis, while maintaining high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance.

Contractors manage their own schedule and visits, with responsibility for documentation, taxes, licensure, and insurance. This role offers scheduling flexibility and independence in patient care.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license in good standing.
• Minimum one year of nursing experience.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Current automobile insurance.
• Ability to pass a background screening.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, admissions, reassessments, supervisory visits, and discharge visits as assigned.
• Complete nursing visits according to physician orders, Medicaid waiver requirements, and MDC Healthcare standards.
• Develop and update nursing care plans when applicable.
• Complete supervisory visits for caregivers.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Identify and report significant changes in patient condition.
• Communicate promptly with the Director of Nursing regarding clinical concerns.
• Educate members and caregivers on medications, disease management, safety, and infection prevention.
• Complete documentation accurately and within required deadlines.
• Utilize Home Care BOSS for documentation and visit completion.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard PHI.
• Attend mandatory contractor orientation and required training as assigned.
• Maintain professional communication with members, physicians, case managers, caregivers, and MDC Healthcare staff.
