Job summary

Speech Therapist needed by Personal Touch Home Care in the Bronx, NY to evaluate and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in home settings. This is a fee-for-service, per visit, 1099 contracted position.

You must hold a valid NY license to practice, and you will work with pediatric, adult, and special needs populations in clients’ homes. Flexible daytime and after-school/evening cases are available, with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide therapy to individuals of all ages addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and language.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy.
