Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist to work with infants and toddlers in home-based Early Intervention programs across California.

You will assess development and deliver pediatric physical therapy using a parent coaching model for families in their homes, daycares, or community settings. The role requires a California DPT license, pediatric EI experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• California Physical Therapy license required.
• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide physical therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (HIPAA and state/federal regulations).
