Job summary

Sunny Days Early Childhood Developmental Services Inc. is seeking Child Development Specialists to deliver in-home early intervention to infants and toddlers, with a focus on developmental assessments and parent coaching.

The role emphasizes family-centered services in the child’s natural environment, with flexible schedules and California-based programs. Candidates should have a Master’s degree or related credential and experience in early intervention or home-based delivery.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred/required (Orange County only) in child development, early childhood, teaching or related field OR a special education teaching credential.
• Early Intervention Experience Preferred.
• Home-Based Service Delivery Experience Preferred.
• Strong Interpersonal Skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide child development services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s IFSP and collaborate with families to set strategies to meet developmental goals.
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to boost caregivers’ confidence and ensure progress generalization.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, including families’ homes, daycare centers, and other community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
