Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. is seeking a Substitute Food Service Aide to provide flexible, as-needed coverage in our central kitchen and meal programs.

You’ll assist with daily kitchen needs, support teamwork, and help prepare and pack meals while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. The role offers schedule flexibility, requires lifting 35 lbs+, and a High School Diploma or GED with at least three months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily kitchen needs and food preparation.
• Work as part of a team to support meal programs.
• Store, inventory, and handle food and supplies.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and dress code compliance.
• Perform end-of-day cleaning and basic computer tasks.
• Attend safety trainings and learn backup roles.
