Job summary

MainStreet Family Care is expanding and seeking energetic Floating Medical Assistants to support clinics in Wake Forest, Oxford, and Burlington. You will assist on-site providers with patient intake, assessment, and discharge, while handling lab tests, documentation, and room preparation.

The role offers flexible scheduling, a competitive starting wage, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401K. Prior MA experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Provider(s) in the care of patients to ensure optimal delivery of medical care.
• Triage patients promptly following clinic procedures.
• Document vital signs, weight, and updates to medical history prior to visits.
• Perform lab tests in line with clinical guidelines and provider instructions.
• Manage digital patient records and support transition to electronic systems.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Administer prescribed medications under provider supervision.
• Assist during examinations and procedures.
• Position patients for x-rays as directed.
• Monitor and manage medical inventory as needed.
