Job summary

Vital Research, LLC is seeking Independent Contractor Field Interviewers to conduct confidential surveys for social research projects in Oregon. You will manage your own schedule, perform interviews by video, phone, or in person, and help capture diverse experiences with state-supported services.

Contract term runs Dec 7, 2026 – May 30, 2027, or until all interviews are complete. Training is provided; successful contractors work independently while following protocols and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Have experience conducting interviews, surveys, or research.
• Experience supporting older adults, people with disability, or underserved populations through social services, community outreach, or related work.
• Able to communicate clearly and build trust and rapport with others.
• Comfortable conducting interviews by video, phone, and in person.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and digital tools.
• Work well independently and manage time effectively.
• Have reliable transportation for in-person interviews.

Responsibilities

• Contact participants from a provided list to schedule and complete surveys.
• Complete an average of 1 survey per day or 5 per week.
• Conduct surveys using company-provided technology and protocols.
• Accurately record participant responses while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate with the research team regarding updates.
