Job summary

Vital Research seeks Independent Contractors to conduct confidential surveys for social research projects across Oregon. You’ll manage your own schedule, perform interviews by video or in person, and ensure data accuracy while following project protocols.

Contractors are paid per completed survey with rates of $80–$95+ depending on method, plus training payments. This role supports state services and aims to improve service delivery and community outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting interviews, surveys or research.
• Experience supporting older adults or underserved populations.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Contact participants from a provided list to schedule and complete surveys.
• Complete an average of 1 survey per day or 5 surveys per week.
• Conduct surveys via video or in-person per participant preference.
• Record responses accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
• Communicate professionally with the research team and participants.
• Demonstrate empathy and cultural sensitivity during interactions.
