Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking Environmental Services Technicians for VA Medical Centers in Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma. The EVS Technicians perform a full range of cleaning duties and support patient care areas to keep environments clean and safe.

Positions are open on a continuous basis with a posted hourly pay range of $17.78–$20.75. Work may be full- or part-time; direct-hire authority is noted. Applications close on 2027-02-01.

Qualifications

• Direct-Hire Authority eligibility may apply.
• Ability to perform janitorial and custodial tasks.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms and other areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub floors, vacuum carpets and upholstery, and dispose of waste.
• Clean light globes and Venetian blinds; wash walls, windows and ceilings; refill dispensers; move furniture.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and with instruction; perform duties with minimal supervision.
