U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeks a Housekeeping/Environmental Service Technician (EVS) to perform janitorial and custodial duties in a VA Medical Center.

The role requires following supervision by the Housekeeping Supervisor and working on site in a hospital setting. Responsibilities include cleaning wards, patient rooms, restrooms, and other areas, performing floor care, trash removal, and minor maintenance tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience evidence of training or experience sufficient to perform the duties; no specific length required.
• Applicants are evaluated under the OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards; screen-out element applies.

Responsabilités

• Perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties and routine housekeeping.
• Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms and shower rooms.
• Sweep, mop, scrub floors, vacuum carpets and upholstery, clean glass, walls, ceilings; replace tissue and towels.
