Job summary

Sheridan Early Childhood Center seeks an ECE Substitute to assist the lead teacher and support students in a busy preschool environment. The role involves helping with daily activities, reinforcing learning concepts, and coordinating with special education and regular education staff.

You will participate in field trips, support behavior management, and assist with(parent) conferences to engage families. A HS diploma and ECE coursework are required; some experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• At least two ECE classes from an accredited college or CDA.
• 1–3 years of experience in an early childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces classroom learning concepts and supports all children as directed by staff.
• Assists on field trips and with life skills experiences.
• Monitors and assists with child behavior management.
• Monitors progress and assists with observations in the learning environment.
• Attends meetings and staffings as needed.
• May perform diapering and toileting as needed.
• Supports home visitations and parent conferences to involve families.
