Job summary

Connecticut Institute For Communities, Inc. seeks Substitute Staff for the Danbury Early Learning Programs (Head Start & School Readiness). These positions are hourly or per-shift and highly utilized, offering a flexible part-time opportunity ideal for college students and parents.

Substitutes assist classrooms with routines, curriculum, meals and activities for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. You work under the Substitute Coordinator and a classroom Teacher, with occasional long-term

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Some childcare or preschool experience preferred; non-experienced candidates welcome.
• Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist classrooms to maintain routines, curriculum, meals and activities for children (ages 6 weeks–5 years).
• Work under the direction of the Substitute Coordinator and a daily classroom Teacher.
