Job summary

Covenant Case Management Services in King, NC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide Community Living Support and Respite services to individuals with IDD. You will help clients participate in daily activities, build independence, and engage with their local community.

This 1099 contract role offers 40–55 hours weekly. Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and a background check; experience with autistic individuals is preferred.

Qualifications

• Background or experience supporting autistic individuals is required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
• Successful completion of a standard background check is mandatory.
• CPR / First Aid certification is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide Compassionate Care: Support clients during scheduled hours with daily routines, life skills, and personal goals
• Promote Community Engagement: Encourage and accompany clients on outings, recreational events, and local activities
• Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment both at home and in community settings
• Provide Respite Care: Offer reliable support as needed to assist clients and their families
