Job summary

Focus Behavioral Health, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to work with adults with Autism and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities. DSPs provide hands-on support that helps the individuals we serve live more independently, pursue their goals, and stay connected to their communities.

No previous DSP experience? Paid training is provided to help you learn the role and become successful.

Qualifications

Paid training provided; no prior DSP experience required.
At least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Successful completion of required criminal background clearances.
Ability to provide physical assistance when necessary.

Responsibilities

Support individuals with daily routines and Activities of Daily Living.
Teach and reinforce skills such as cooking, cleaning, meal preparation, and household tasks.
Help individuals participate in community activities and outings.
Encourage independence and support personal choices.
Assist individuals in working toward goals in their support plans.
Provide appropriate support to promote health and safety.
Build positive relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
Encourage development of social, communication, and independent living skills.
Support each individual with dignity, respect, and self-determination.
