The Dental Consultants Office in New Braunfels, TX is partnering with a well-established dental practice to recruit a skilled Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract. Flexible hours and both part-time or full-time options are available to fit your schedule.

Responsibilities include assisting dentists during procedures, preparing and sterilizing equipment, taking radiographs, and managing patient records. Prior dental assisting experience and CPR certification are valued for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience.
• Graduate of an accredited dental assisting program.
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

• Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms.
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays).
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations.
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.

About the Opportunity

Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in New Braunfels with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract position starting as soon as possible.

Employment Type: Contract (6 months) Schedule: Flexible - Part-time or Full-time available Hours: 20-50 hours per week (based on your availability) Location: New Braunfels, TX

Key Responsibilities

Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments

Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms

Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)

Prepare materials for impressions and restorations

Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures

Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation

Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment

Requirements

Required Qualifications

Experience Level (one of the following):

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, OR

Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures

Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages

Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred but Not Required:

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification

Experience with dental practice management software
