Job summary

Temple University Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Technician to support surgical teams in a 36-hour weekly full-time Day Flex schedule. The role focuses on scrubbing for procedures, preparing the surgical field, and ensuring aseptic practice in line with OR and hospital policies.

Certification requirements apply to hires after 2020; on-the-job training may be considered with related education. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an OR tech

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Operating Room Technician training program that includes on-the-job training required or
• Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree required.

Responsibilities

• Scrubs for surgical procedures and prepares the surgical field according to procedure and surgeon's preference.
• Adheres to aseptic techniques and hospital policies and procedures.
• Certification requirement is only for those hired after December 29, 2020.
