Vista Life Innovations in Westbrook, CT is hiring a Cross-Program Instructor (Floater) to support multiple programs with a primary focus on Café Instructor duties and occasional Life Skills instruction. You'll plan meals, lead activities, mentor members, and help others gain independence.

The role requires a high school diploma, reliable transportation, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid/PMT within 90 days. It offers full-time, part-time, and per diem schedules with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and maintain acceptable driving record as defined by Vista.
• CPR, First Aid and PMT certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office suite and the internet; ability to use computer and other electronic devices as needed for job function.
• Ability to transport students and members in Vista vehicles to community sites in various settings and weather conditions.
• Flexibility in scheduling and potential reassignment between programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, shop and prepare meals and activities for café program members; maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Work within a budget to plan and prepare nutritious meals; lead activities to foster socialization.
• Prepare menus and shop weekly.
• Ensure café duties and responsibilities are completed properly by members; develop culinary skills.
• Develop and facilitate creative group, social, and recreational activities for café participants.
• Fill-in role: assist with independent living skills and day-to-day operations of programs.
