UKCIL Ltd. in Chatham is seeking a Personal Assistant to support a sociable young woman with mobility needs. The role is primarily community-based, focusing on activities, socialising and independence with some personal care and home support.

The successful candidate will be friendly, energetic, and reliable, with flexibility for weekends/school holidays and experience with hoists/manual handling. A UK driving license and own car are required.

Qualifications

• Friendly, energetic, patient and reliable.
• Confident supporting a young adult with physical care needs.
• Comfortable working flexibly, including weekends and school holidays.
• Able to follow medical and emergency protocols calmly.
• Experience of hoists and manual handling.
• Manual handling training in date.
• A driver is required for this role to support community access.

Responsabilités

• Build a positive, consistent and trusting relationship.
• Support to access community activities such as shopping, social outings, creative activities and leisure interests.
• Supporting socialising with friends and promoting independence.
• Elements of personal care, including support with showering, dressing and toileting.
• Safe use of equipment, including hoists.
• Supporting safe travel and transfers in and out of vehicles.
• Following agreed care plans, medical guidance and emergency protocols if required.
• Planning and supporting enjoyable, age-appropriate activities.
• Providing reassurance and support to help the client to feel confident and included.
