United Bank in Jackson, GA seeks a Commercial Lender to provide credit facilities and grow our lending portfolio. The role involves interviewing customers, analyzing financial data, determining creditworthiness, and tailoring loan solutions for approval and closing.

You will collaborate with credit analysts, prepare comprehensive loan narratives, and manage loans from origination to renewal while ensuring regulatory compliance and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, accounting, or related field.
• Ability to evaluate creditworthiness using financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and other data.
• Ability to assemble clear loan narratives for approval.
• Proven experience in business development and maintaining a sales pipeline.
• Knowledge of applicable banking regulations and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercial lending opportunities through active business development.
• Builds and maintains relationships with customers and potential clients.
• Interview borrowers and analyze financial data to assess creditworthiness.
• Underwrite loans with credit analysts and prepare package for approval.
• Present terms and conditions to approval authorities and secure closings.
• Monitor portfolio growth, renewals, and profitability while ensuring compliance.
