Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring an entry-level CNA to support seniors and individuals with disabilities living independently. The role emphasizes learning the fundamentals of quality home care, flexible hours, and a pathway to a meaningful career within a growing, values-driven organization.

The CNA will follow care plans, assist with personal care, household tasks, transportation, and safe medication-related tasks. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or one year of in-home care services experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills and being reliable, energetic, self-motivated and organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report completed tasks.
• Support with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Assist with routine house cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Transport client to appointments and daily errands.
• Assist member with self-administration of medications (no administration or measuring).
• Observe and report changes in the member's condition.
