Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy in Opelika, AL is seeking a Full-time Early Child Care Assistant Teacher to join our team. You will support classroom activities and help provide a caring, educational environment for children.

Work with the Lead Teacher to document milestones using electronic tracking and ensure safety and cleanliness of the classroom. We offer on-the-job training to advance from Assistant Teacher toward Center Director.

Qualifications

• At least 19 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience working with children; daycare/preschool preferred.
• CDA or degree preferred.
• Must lift a minimum of 30 pounds and supervise children visually.
• Commitment to safety guidelines and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Work with Lead Teacher to facilitate daily activities and keep the classroom running smoothly.
• Partner with families to nurture and care for children, documenting milestones electronically.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment.
