Job summary

Sedgebrook in Lincolnshire, IL is seeking compassionate caregivers for Part-Time and PRN roles. Caregivers support residents in their own apartment homes, providing personal care and companionship to help residents live independently with dignity.

Flexible scheduling includes mornings, evenings, weekend shifts, and 12‑hour options. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, English communication skills, and reliability; CPR/First Aid is preferred. Training and team support are provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Able to communicate effectively in English.
• Comfortable using a smartphone for timekeeping and care documentation.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility support.
• Offer companionship, conversation and emotional support.
• Encourage residents to stay active, engaged and independent.
• Accompany residents to appointments, errands and community activities.
• Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation and occasional pet care.
• Document services using a mobile app and report changes to supervisors.
• Participate in required trainings and team meetings.
