Job summary

HealthFitness is hiring a part-time Child Care Attendant in Libertyville, IL. You will provide safe, engaging play for children, plan age-appropriate activities, and interact with parents to ensure their children’s needs are met.

Must be at least 18, CPR/AED/First Aid certification within 45 days of hire, and prior experience with young children or customer service is preferred. Reliable, quick, accurate multi-tasking and basic computer skills required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Experience with young children preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work quickly and accurately.
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greet each parent and interact with them, following up on the needs of the child.
• Plan activities for the children and assist with stimulating and age-appropriate games and tasks.
• Observe and engage with children to ensure safety and engagement.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment.
• Participate in child activities: reading, painting, crafts, and play.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
