Job summary

Right At School is seeking a substitute Educator in Lemont, IL for before/after school programs. You will lead activities, supervise students, assist with homework, and communicate with families in a safe, structured setting.

The role offers part-time hours with early morning and afternoon shifts. Pay ranges $15-$18/hour, based on education and experience. State requirements and site flexibility apply.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with children under 13 (preferred).
• Ability to lead groups of children in activities and games.
• Excellent customer service and communication with children and adults.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to part-time schedule.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and be on feet during shift.
• Independent and team work adaptability; flexible to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students, take attendance, maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities and enrichment lessons.
• Support homework time and academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise during free time, snack, and transitions.
• Address conflicts with positive guidance; communicate with families.
• Log incidents and report safety concerns promptly.
• Set up/clean program spaces; attend daily brief meetings.
