Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. seeks a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled PT care in patients\' homes under the supervision of a PT. You\'ll help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence with individualized plans.

The role offers a 20-hour schedule with no evenings, weekends, or holidays, a hybrid work arrangement, and travel across Mass General Brigham Home Care\'s geographic area, with strong team support and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
• Two years experience in acute care, rehab or homecare as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and electronic.
• Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new systems.
• The ability to prioritize, stay organized, and adapt to changing situations.
• Willingness to travel throughout Mass General Brigham Healthcare at Home's geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on the physical therapist's plan of care.
• Recommend and reinforce fall prevention and home safety strategies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and strategies to support progress at home.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress or concerns to the physical therapist.
• Document patient visits, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with the physical therapist and interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient care.
