Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a senior Business Development professional to drive origination and development of energy campus opportunities for data center customers in the United States. You will manage negotiations from concept to term sheet, leveraging relationships with utilities and hyperscalers.

You will work across internal teams to shape commercial structures, identify market opportunities, and expand the company’s FlexGen footprint while ensuring regulatory and market considerations are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (business administration, economics, engineering, etc.).
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the U.S. electric power sector or a related field.
• Experience with at least one leading U.S. utility, IPP, hyperscaler/co-lo/neocloud or data center developer.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage relationships and industry networks to create opportunities.
• Strong knowledge of the U.S. power sector or data center market, or both.
• Experience with commercial negotiations desired.
• Experience at the intersection of electric power and data center demand preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and build relationships across the energy and data center ecosystem to support RWE FlexGen business development objectives.
• Manage commercial progress of FlexGen Energy Campus opportunities from conception to term sheet and detailed negotiations with hyperscalers and data center customers.
• Research and gather market intelligence from public sources and direct relationships to inform development activities.
• Maintain relationships with utilities, coops, munis and other load serving entities for insights on dispatchable needs, RFPs and tariffs.
• Increase visibility of RWE FlexGen and energy campus capabilities through outreach, conferences and networking.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to shape energy campus and gas opportunities to meet customer and partner needs.
