Job summary

Penske Logistics LLC in Indianapolis is hiring full-time CDL Class A truck drivers to run regional Midwest routes. You will deliver bread products to customers, using pre-stacked dollies and an electric pallet jack, with no store deliveries.

Earn up to $120,000 yearly with a $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid vacations from day one, robust health benefits, retirement plan, and ongoing training opportunities. Regional travel, frequent home time, and flexible schedules set by client needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and domiciled in the U.S.
• DOT medical card (non-excepted interstate) required
• 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency per federal requirements
• Ability to pass background investigation and drug screening
• Safety-conscious and alert while driving

Responsibilities

• Travel regionally throughout the Midwest for weekly assignments at various locations
• Deliver bread products using pre-stacked dollies; no store deliveries
• Bread products may be palletized; unloading with electric pallet jack
• Average 5 to 10 stops per week

What you will do:

• This position requires the driver to travel regionally throughout the Midwest to work weekly assignments at various locations as needed
• Deliver bread products to customers using pre-stacked wheeled dollies, allowing for easy roll-off deliveries and roll-on returns, with no store deliveries required
• Bread products may be palletized and unloaded using an electric pallet jack
• Average 5 to 10 stops per week

• Start times vary based on the assignment and customer needs
• Travel to designated locations throughout the Midwest to support operational needs
• Flexibility is key, as schedules and work locations can change based on business demands

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency.
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
