Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Flex Shift Patrol in Cranston, RI to serve clients across healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. You will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic setting and build a foundation with a leader in security services.

The role offers 30-40 hours per week with a varying schedule and self-scheduling options. You may work irregular shifts with little advance notice, and you’ll have opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Availability for varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Willing to travel required distances.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license needed for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and security policies.
• Permit entry to authorized persons and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain post logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
