Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring for Flex Security Officers in Chico, CA. This part-time role requires flexibility for day, evening, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts. Active CA Guard Card and prior security or customer service experience are preferred.

The position offers a starting rate of $21.00 per hour with benefits eligibility and opportunities for advancement as openings arise. Training is provided on the job.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid State BSIS California Guard Card.
• Strong customer service and report writing skills.

Flexibility with Shifts is Required

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.

Work Schedule:

• Must be flexible and available for all shifts: days, evenings and overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adapt to different post orders, access control systems, and security protocols.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. (varies by site).
• Capable of extended standing, walking, or patrolling.
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness at all times.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Maintain site access control and visitor logs.

Qualifications:

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Computer skills are a must.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Essential Computer Competencies.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Comfortable with Outdoor Environment in Diverse Weather Conditions.
• Security Guard Experience Preferred, Not Required!
• Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check.
