Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring a Flex Security Officer in Chico, CA. This part-time role requires weekend and holiday availability and offers $21.00 per hour.

You will cover various shifts, maintain access control, patrol, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate has security or customer service experience, active CA BSIS Guard Card, and the flexibility to adapt to different posts and schedules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid CA BSIS Guard Card required.
• Strong customer service skills preferred.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site access control and visitor logs.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials.
• Enforce security policies with a professional presence.

$21.00/ Per Hour

• Flexibility with Shifts is Required

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.

Work Schedule

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs. (varies by site).
• Capable of extended standing, walking, or patrolling.
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness at all times.

Typical Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Comfortable with Outdoor Environment in Diverse Weather Conditions.
• Security Guard Experience Preferred, Not Required!
• Must successfully pass Pre‑Employment background check.
