Job summary

Marksman Security Corporation in Chico, CA is hiring Flex Security Officers for part-time positions starting immediately. The role offers flexible shifts with weekend and holiday availability and pay of $21.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate has security or customer service experience, with CA BSIS Guard Card licensing, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to varying post orders and environments. Training is provided and there are opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid State BSIS California Guard Card.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Computer skills are a must.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Essential Computer Competencies.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Comfortable with Outdoor Environment in Diverse Weather Conditions.
• Security Guard Experience Preferred, Not Required!
• Must successfully pass Pre-Employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site access control and visitor logs.
• Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and manage visitor check-ins.
• Maintain a professional presence while enforcing corporate security policies.
• Conduct patrols and safety checks.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
• Write detailed incident and daily activity reports.
• Support workplace safety initiatives and report potential hazards.
• Follow all company, client, and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
• Serve as a first point of contact for inquiries, directions, and assistance.

• Flexibility with Shifts is Required

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.
