Job summary

Patrol Solutions is seeking a Flex Security Officer to cover Sacramento-area sites with flexible day/evening shifts. The role fosters growth within a growing security team and offers training and development opportunities.

Applicants should hold a valid California Driver’s License, have at least 3 years of clean driving history, and possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Prior security experience and bilingual abilities are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid and current California Driver’s License.
• Must have 3 years of a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of previous security experience.
• Access control experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Bilingual skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct foot patrols and maintain a visible security presence.
• Patrol assigned properties and follow Post Orders and SOPs.
• Monitor for unauthorized activity, safety concerns, and potential security issues.
• Maintain Daily Activity Reports (DARs) using a smartphone or similar device.
• Prepare written Incident Reports and Facility Maintenance Reports.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, medical, fire or property damage calls.
• Maintain attendance, grooming, and a professional uniform.
• Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, residents, visitors and the public.
• Provide professional customer service while maintaining safety and security.

About the Flex Position

TheFlex Security Officerrole is ideal for someone who values flexibility and is willing to step in when coverage is needed. You may be asked to fill an open shift with short notice, sothe more availability you have, the more opportunities you may have to work.

Our security sites are located throughout the Sacramento region, includingSacramento, Davis, and Woodland. The ability to travel between these locations is strongly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• CurrentCalifornia BSIS Guard Card
• ValidCalifornia Driver’s Licensewith a minimum of3 years of clean driving history
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum1 year of previous security experience
• Access control experience preferred
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow written orders, policies, procedures, and instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
• Reliable transportation
• Professional, friendly, and customer-service-oriented demeanor
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Ability to work independently and take initiative when completing assigned tasks
• Flexibility to workdays, evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtimeas needed
• Ability to successfully pass abackground check and drug screening

Security Officer Responsibilities

• Conductfoot patrols, including working independently when assigned
• Patrol assigned properties and maintain a visible security presence in accordance with Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures
• Monitor for and identify unauthorized activity, safety concerns, suspicious behavior, property damage, and other potential security issues
• Maintain accurateDaily Activity Reports (DARs)using a smartphone or similar device
• Prepare clear and accurateIncident Reports and Facility Maintenance Reports
• Respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations, includingmedical emergencies, fire, property damage, and other calls for service
• Maintain consistent attendance, professional grooming, and a clean, properly maintained uniform
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, coworkers, residents, visitors, and the general public
• Maintain a high level of awareness while on duty and take appropriate action when situations require attention
• Provide professional customer service while helping maintain a safe and secure environment
