Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Flex Shift Patrol in Tampa, FL. The role offers 30-40 hours weekly with irregular shifts, an Earn More, Claim-A-Shift scheduling program, and opportunities for advancement within a dynamic, collaborative workplace.

Pay rate is $17.95 per hour. Responsibilities include patrols, incident reporting, access control, and assisting clients and staff with a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Be available for varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Be available for last-minute shift scheduling.
• Be able to travel required distances.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
