Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard clients across industries. You’ll use our shift‑pickup platform to claim open shifts based on availability, building a varied site experience and valuable hands‑on security exposure.

This role offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for growth in a dynamic, service‑driven environment. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and pass background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company or client vehicle.
• Background check required under applicable laws; criminal histories considered.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• No prior experience required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed, per state).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Operate radio/console equipment.
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills.
• Active listening and problem-solving abilities.
• Assess and evaluate situations quickly and accurately.
• Mediate conflicts with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.
• Preferred: bilingual in multiple languages; prior security/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence
• Warn violators of rule infractions (loitering, smoking, etc.)
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect company property and ensure proper removal
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain logs
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications according to site Post Orders
