Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or customer-owned vehicle.
• Background investigation required by law; drug screening may be required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed in some states).
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different posts; able to communicate clearly.
• Must operate radio/console equipment and interact cordially with the public.
• Strong written/oral communication; active listening and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions creating security concerns.
• Sound alarms or call police/fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of infractions; monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft; ensure proper client requirements.
• Investigate incidents and prepare reports; maintain post logs.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site Post Orders.
