Job summary

Securitas is seeking Flex and Security Officers for metro east IL locations, including Edwardsville. Roles involve 2nd shift (2PM-10PM) and 3rd shift (10PM-6AM) with opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules. Applicants must pass pre-employment screens and drug testing.

Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $18.50 per hour, with benefits and career growth paths available. Open interviews are conducted with proper attire; location is Fairview Heights, IL.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and Illinois PERC Security Officer license eligibility.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Security, law enforcement, or military experience a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Must be willing to participate in pre-employment screening (drug test and background).

Responsibilities

• Handle conflict resolution and de-escalation with clients and guests.
• Interact frequently with client employees and guests to provide assistance.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure that post orders are followed and rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to client staff and visitors.
• Operate technology devices as required during shifts.

Flex Security Officer - Full Time & Part Time

Work Locations: In the metro east ranging from Godfrey, Highland, Edwardsville, Cahokia Heights, & Sauget, IL.

Wage Range: $17.00-$18.50/HR

Flex Officer Schedules

Schedules will consist of filling call-offs, covering requested days off, vacation requests, and extra coverage for special assignments. Majority of these shifts will be 2nd shift (2PM - 10PM) and / or 3rd shift (10PM - 6AM).

Security Officer Schedules

Majority of these shifts will be 2nd shift (2PM - 10PM) and / or 3rd shift (10PM - 6AM).

Open Interviews

Thursday July 23 rd , July 30 th , August 6 th , & August 13 th , from 10AM - 11AM.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Position is about 75% - 80% standing / walking.
• Position can be up to 75% - 80% of the time outside in all weather (except lightning, hail, and tornado).
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age to qualify for an Illinois PERC Security Officer License.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED, or willing to complete a GED program.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Must have reliable transportation (Public transportation is not available at most work site locations).
• Must have reliable working communication device (cell phone).
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
