What does it mean to be part of the FLEX Order Selection Team? Job Overview:

In this part-time, fast-paced role, you are responsible for accurately and efficiently pulling customer orders within the warehouse. This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail while palletizing orders and ensuring they are placed in the correct locations. You will operate motorized equipment, including Electric Pallet Jacks, while ensuring safety and accuracy in moving products within the warehouse. At UNFI, we emphasize teamwork, resilience, and making a difference.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Select various grocery, perishable, frozen, or repack products from warehouse stock.
2. Report adjustments to inventory counts, spoilage or damage, location changes, and out-of-stocks.
3. Transport products throughout the warehouse using electric pallet jacks.
4. Maintain performance standards of speed and accuracy with minimal damage and maximum safety.
5. Perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures, as appropriate.
6. Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

1. Must work at least 8 hours a week.
2. Ability to safely lift up to 75 pounds consistently and work with high accuracy and efficiency.
3. Willingness to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 90+ degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Availability to work holidays and weekends.
5. Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Experience:

1. Preferred: Experience in a large warehouse/distribution setting within the last 3 years.
2. Preferred: Experience with Electric Pallet Jacks or Reach Lifts.
3. Understanding of WMS is preferred but not required.

Knowledge:

1. Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures and functions.
2. Understanding of safety guidelines.

Skills/Abilities:

1. Ability to meet minimum selection rates.
2. Attention to detail.
3. Ability to follow all selecting procedures and verbal instructions.
4. Understanding of procedures across different warehouse areas for a comprehensive understanding.
5. Good judgment, especially when supervision is not immediately available.

Work Environment:

This is an onsite role requiring physical presence at a UNFI location, such as a distribution center or office.

Physical Environment/Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
• Exposure to temperatures from -20°F to 90°F depending on the operation area.
• Repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements.
• Ability to work with hands overhead and operate equipment.
• Good vision and manual dexterity are required.
