Job summary

Securitas Inc. is seeking a Flex Officer (Part Time) for Manhattan, KS. The role focuses on maintaining safety and security, including access control and patrols across client sites, while delivering strong customer service.

You will monitor premises, respond to incidents, and work collaboratively with client staff to enforce site rules and ensure safety. This position requires professionalism, alertness, and reliable performance on shifts.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently and stay calm under pressure.
• Must pass pre-employment screening (drug test & background).

Responsibilities

• Monitor premises and enforce site rules across client locations.
• Perform access control and patrol duties as assigned.
• Provide information and assistance to employees and visitors.
• Identify safety concerns and report any hazardous conditions.
• Operate security technology devices during shifts.

Flex Officer - Part Time

Primary Location: Manhattan, KS

Wage Range: $15.75-$19.00/HR

The Flex Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
