Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks a married couple for full-time Flex Houseparent positions. You will reside in on-campus homes, provide care, supervision and guidance for 8–13 students, and help foster academic, emotional, and social growth in a family-like setting.

The role includes supervising daily routines, managing schedules, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and budgeting.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
